Let the unveiling begin…
Kitchen Makeover 1: Transformed From Cramped and Dated to Space for the Whole Family
Our first kitchen transformation is for a family in Berkshire. Many years earlier, they had refurbished their kitchen, but the layout was no longer working. They wanted a spacious kitchen with space for all the family, so they extended to create a large, open-plan kitchen.
The new space created room for a generous kitchen island with breakfast bar seating. The separate formal dining table and lounge mean plenty of space for everyone.

Kitchen Transformation 2: Transformed From Dark and Disconnected to the Heart of the Home
Our second kitchen renovation in Windlesham proves you don’t have to extend to achieve an incredible transformation.
The kitchen was in a darker area of the room, away from the bountiful sunlight that cascaded through the glazed roof. The family wanted a redesign to turn this into the uplifting and sociable heart of the home.
Our design team completely reconfigured the layout. Moving the kitchen into the centre of the space meant they could benefit from the abundant natural light and garden views. This change also allowed for a generous island with sociable seating, working with the structural pillar. The old kitchen area became the cosy living room, perfect for a room with less natural light.

Kitchen Remodel 3: Transformed From Functional but Cluttered to Sleek and Effortless
This kitchen renovation in Surrey shows that it’s possible to transform your kitchen without adding extra space or changing the layout.
The family came to KCA because their kitchen was cramped. They especially struggled with worktop space as they had several worktop appliances. The dining table also created a pinch point, making it a tight squeeze when family visited.
The new kitchen design gives the space a fresh, modern look, while the carefully planned design makes their kitchen easier to use. Some subtle but impactful changes were replacing the range cooker with eye-level ovens and a combi-microwave.
The new Quooker tap is the main sink tap, removing the need for a kettle on the worktop. The new design keeps the dining table in its place, but a long bench seat creates more storage and creates a better flow.

Kitchen Renovation 4: Transformed From Under Utilised to Maximised Country Views
At first glance, this kitchen in Henley-on-Thames appeared relatively functional and up-to-date. However, the layout didn’t make the most of the space for the family living there.
Without knocking down walls or extending, our team created a new design to modernise the kitchen and maximise space. Rotating the island 90 degrees allowed for a larger island and a new bench seat with drawer storage. This design created the casual perching place our clients wanted.
One of the outstanding features of this home was the beautiful rural views. However, the hob was against the wall, so the family spent most of their time cooking with their backs to the view. With the hob on the island, the family can now cook whilst admiring the views they fell in love with when buying the property.

Kitchen Renovation 5: Refreshed & Modernised
For this kitchen, the family quite liked their layout but they wanted to improve some everyday issues that had cropped up over time.
The new design tackled key problems, like the tight space around the breakfast bar and the lack of natural light.
We opened the breakfast bar peninsula and brought it further into the room to enhance the feeling of space. We streamlined the cooker hood within the cabinets to unclutter this wall and make it easier on the eye. The fresh, stylish palette of green and taupe with light worktops lifts the whole feel of the room.

Kitchen Renovation 6: More Storage, More Style
This Virginia Water home had a relatively limited kitchen, with a small island, few cabinets and no wall cabinets.
We dramatically increased the available storage without increasing the room’s footprint–or changing the flooring. We added wall units on all walls and tall cabinets with a bank of ovens at eye height. The room allowed space to increase the island and create breakfast bar seating for four and even more storage.
A highlight is the tea point beside the dining area, offering even more storage, open shelving, and a built-in wine fridge.

Kitchen Renovation 7: Awkward & Dark to Streamlined & Modern
This kitchen presented challenges for the family of four who live there. With a long, narrow galley kitchen and an adjoining conservatory, the space felt disjointed and cramped.
Widening the opening between the kitchen and conservatory creates a seamless connection between the areas and improves natural light. The kitchen units now extend around the corner, turning an underused area into additional worktop space and storage.
The cramped dining table is gone, too. In its place is a modern breakfast bar seating area that wraps around the corner underneath the large skylight.

Kitchen Renovation 8: Awkward & Dark to Streamlined & Modern
This kitchen was transformed with a significant extension. The extension increased the size of the kitchen and the amount of natural light with a large roof lantern and bi-fold doors.
The new footprint made space for a generous island with breakfast bar seating and a 10-seater dining table.
This arts and crafts home deserved a kitchen that better suited its character. The new design is a shaker kitchen with beautiful traditional features like the beaded door detail and mantel above the range cooker–much more in-keeping with this period home.
For added wow factor, there is a separate bespoke drinks area with an antique mirror back panel and floating shelves.

Kitchen Renovation 9: Open & Inviting
This cosy cottage kitchen felt cramped, with a butchers block peninsula in the middle of the room which left little room fo the dining table.
We opened up the design by removing the peninsula while creating more storage with full-height pantry cupboards. The dining area now features a media wall with a wall-mounted TV and more shallow storage. The dining table slots into the media wall, making it feel a part of the design but still allowing it to be pulled out to seat more people.
