Our clients embarked on a renovation journey to craft their dream family home. With a track record of several successful home improvement projects, they were determined to make their current property the perfect home.
The main vision for the project was to transform the client’s living room into a new kitchen and we collaborated with the client’s builder, Inspire 4 Design. Our clients desired a shaker kitchen that creates a wow factor with its aesthetics whilst providing ample storage and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Most importantly, the spaces needed to be a comfy social hub for more than just cooking.
To get the most out of the space, we decided to design the new kitchen against the chimney breast, creating a central focal point that could be appreciated from the moment you entered the room. The outcome was a space that exceeded the client’s expectations. The kitchen design encourages social interaction, providing numerous seating options. Now, everyone in the family could gather, dine, enjoy wine, watch TV, and spend quality time together in the same open area.
The kitchen furniture is the perfect blend of classic British bespoke craftsmanship. The cabinetry design is a clean and contemporary take on a classic shaker style. The kitchen design features an elegant bench seat with additional storage, a large island, and hand-painted cabinets in Farrow & Ball Purbeck Stone. The mid-grey cabinet colour resembles the stone found on the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset, a relaxed neutral perfect for a timeless kitchen design. The furniture mixes hardware using a combination of Oxford cup pull handles and Victorian cupboard knobs, subtle details that add further character to the kitchen design.
The island features a charming butler sink chosen for its classic looks, durability, and practicality. The clients opted for Silestone Miami Vena worktops equipped with innovative HybriQ+ technology, which makes them highly resistant to stains and scratches.
