A Bespoke and Handcrafted Two-Tone Shaker Kitchen, Fulham
A handcrafted, British kitchen for a client-led project by GM Developments. Designed and installed by KCA, this bespoke two-tone Shaker kitchen in Fulham combines traditional craftsmanship with modern functionality to create a space that feels refined, practical and enduring.
The cabinetry is defined by elegant Shaker-style proportions, clean lines and subtle detailing that express the quality of its construction. Chrome handles and matching chrome butt hinges from our bespoke furniture range complement the design, adding a refined finishing touch. The soft neutral cabinets around the room contrast beautifully with the darker island, adding depth and balance to the open-plan space. Every element has been thoughtfully designed to blend timeless style with everyday usability, resulting in a calm and welcoming environment for family life.
At the heart of the kitchen sits a rectangular island with intersecting curved breakfast bar seating, a distinctive feature that introduces softness and flow to the layout. This sculptural element connects the kitchen to the dining and living spaces, providing a relaxed and sociable spot for casual dining. The island also includes a gas hob with downdraft extraction and an integrated wine cooler, perfectly positioned to serve the adjoining entertaining areas for effortless hosting.

The granite worktops were selected for their natural beauty, resilience and ease of maintenance, offering a luxurious yet hard-wearing surface ideal for busy family living. Open shelving provides a lighter, more personal touch, allowing favourite glassware and accessories to be displayed while maintaining a sense of openness and warmth.
Storage has been carefully planned to maximise efficiency. A tall pull-out larder cupboard offers quick access to everyday ingredients, while a bespoke oak-lined larder with internal lighting and adjustable shelving provides ample storage for breakfast items and dry goods. This larder returns into the kitchen, subtly shaping the architecture of the space to define the transition between the cooking and dining areas without interrupting the open-plan flow.
Premium Miele appliances and a Fisher & Pakyel fridge have been seamlessly integrated within the cabinetry, combining advanced performance with a sleek aesthetic. The layered lighting design enhances both task and ambient illumination, while the natural materials and soft neutral tones bring warmth and harmony to the room.
This Fulham kitchen connects effortlessly with the wider living space, achieving the perfect balance between craftsmanship, practicality and comfort. A beautifully resolved design, it reflects KCA’s expertise in creating bespoke kitchens that stand the test of time.
