This shaker kitchen combines traditional shaker features with contemporary details to suit the architecture of our clients home. Our clients love entertaining so the extension is designed as a very sociable space, consisting of an open-plan room with zoned areas for dining and lounging.
The large island offers ample worktop space for preparing meals, a feature that is integral to the design for our clients who are keen cooks. The marble overhang sits four comfortably, creating a perfect space to enjoy breakfast as a family or for guests to sit during one of their frequent dinner parties. Solid oak tea trays are stored neatly in a dedicated space within the kitchen island, so they are always to hand ready for serving a warm pot of tea or cocktails during a dinner party.
The Cosmic White marble was hand-chosen from the stone yard by our designer with our client for its striking high contrast pattern, adding a bold feature to the design and creating a more contemporary aesthetic. The kitchen island is hand-painted in Farrow and Ball Railings to contrast the rest of the kitchen which is finished in Strong White.
The handcrafted butler’s pantry adds practical storage space. With solid oak interiors, integrated lighting and a marble worktop to match the kitchen, the pantry looks just as good on the inside as it does on the outside. Oak shelves on the inside of each door maximise the storage space within the pantry and keep items easily accessible.
