KCA Design Consultant Wins New Designer of the Year 2021

We are delighted to announce that KCA design consultant Sophie Reid has won ‘New Designer of the Year’ at this year’s Designerati Awards after being nominated for the prestigious award two years in a row.💫⁠⁠

Sophie joined KCA as a trainee over seven years ago. During her years at KCA Sophie completed our training programme to become a qualified KCA Design Consultant. KCA then went on to sponsor Sophie through her foundation degree in Kitchen Design. We are delighted to see Sophie receive industry recognition for her work.⁠⁠

Foremost this is an award recognising new designer talent within the industry, but we must also acknowledge the hard work of every team member that made this project a reality, a huge well done to Sophie and the KCA team! The team thoroughly enjoyed the award ceremony and celebrating their success!

About the Project

The award-winning project is a modern and durable family kitchen for a family home in Windsor. The brief, to create a harmonious space full of warmth for the family to spend time together and relax after a busy day at work or school. More than just a direct replacement of the clients existing kitchen, the design needed to be durable, modern and flexible to create a beautiful and functional kitchen diner that also facilitates home working. The design complements the modernist, classic feel from the Crittall windows and characterful Victorian architecture.

The established event attracts world-renowned designers, architects, and senior professionals within the design industry.

Very professional company. A pleasure to work with. The kitchen designed and workmanship was stunning. They really listened to our wants and lifestyle needs. Would wholeheartedly recommend.

It really is an excellent service. No detail is left unchecked. Everything from the beginning has been amazing. The initial design was well thought out, imaginative & exciting. All our questions no matter how silly were answered. Measurements on site were checked very carefully which meant when issues were found they could be resolved before the kitchen was ordered. It arrived on time & was fitted with the same care & attention we'd come to expect. The kitchen itself - WOW!

After visiting a number of kitchen specialist, KCA were the only ones who listened and were able to translate my ideas into reality. The final product was perfect and the service and after care provided was exceptional.
