This KCA kitchen is a harmonious space full of warmth for the family to spend time together and relax after a busy day at work or school. More than just a direct replacement of the clients existing kitchen, the design needed to be durable, modern and flexible to create a beautiful and functional kitchen diner that also facilitates home working.
The kitchen design focuses around the family table which was an incredibly important space for the clients that was underutilised in their previous kitchen. The reconfigured layout of the kitchen positions the island to run adjacent to the family table and incorporates additional kitchen cabinets on the opposite wall. The new layout and carefully curated appliances mean that the family can prepare meals whilst simultaneously entertaining friends or conversing with family.
The kitchen design palette combines concrete, vintage oak and metal textures to create a modern industrial feel with the warmth suited to a family home. The materials and finishes were selected for their bold yet durable qualities, offering a practical & hardwearing solution to complement family life.
The light concrete effect cabinetry creates the quintessential industrial look whilst offering a stunning contrast against the warmth of the dark vintage oak and smooth, grey, matte laminate. With durability at the heart of this design, the laminate doors have PUR bonded edges that ensure additional resilience and longevity. The cabinetry and island are finished in incredibly durable Dekton worktops which offer heat and stain resistance, colour stability and very minimal water absorption.
The kitchen features knurled detailing throughout, evident in the handles, Quooker tap and even the Bora hob temperature dials.
The Bora Professional cooktop and extractor is a perfect addition to this kitchen, offering superior cooking and extraction performance along with modular flexibility, built-in safety features and exceptionally quiet running noise even at the highest power levels.
The Quooker hot tap offers boiling water on demand, saving our clients time with every cup of tea or pan of building water; ideal for a busy family.
